Education

In 2007, while working on her master's degree, Cristin began her mediation career in the Family Court running a custody and visitation mediation program. In the five years she ran the program, she supported 1,500 families as they built a plan for their future and worked through the emotions of their new normal. In 2011, Cristin became an Associate Divorce Mediator (non-attorney) at CNY Mediation Services, Inc. and has worked alongside Attorney Mediator Christine Hickey for 12 years. During this time, Cristin also worked part-time as a private practice Life Coach, altering the life path of clients in need of change. In 2021, Cristin was trained as a Co-Parenting Coach and began her journey assisting parents in creating a more peaceful childhood for their children. 

    Cristin attended SUNY Geneseo, where she earned a BA in Sociology and a BS in Psychology with a Minor in Conflict Studies. Cristin went on to earn a Master's of Science in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies at Woodbury College in Vermont which included both interpersonal conflict (mediation) and intrapersonal conflict (life coaching). Her continuing education includes training in twelve forms of mediation, including being trained in custody visitation mediation, parent child mediation and twice in divorce mediation. In 2021 Cristin was trained in co-parenting coaching and has been a court-referred co-parenting coach for two years.
